Djembes from Ghana are carved out of Tweneboa Wood, which is a softer wood which does make it more sustainable.

• The Shell is Tweneboa {Cordia Platythyrsa} carved in Ghana.
• This Drum is carved out of heartwood so it’s a good bit heavier than usual however it also means that it has tones more like hardwoods.
• This drum was also restrung with our professional drum rope to replace the substandard Ghana rope it was received with.
• Lightweight especially for heartwood.
