These Dunun (Also Dun Dun, Doun Doun) from Ivory Coast are hand carved Usually out of Iroko Wood, which is equivalent to Red Oak on the Janka scale of hardness. Each set comes with three dunun sticks.
- These Dunun like the Ivory Coast Djembes are finished with the traditional Ivory Coast Chip Pattern, instead of with the sanded smooth texture that look lathe turned.
- Used by many schools as well as independent facilitators.
- Once received, prior to shipping out, each set is carefully inspected, cleaned and tuned up.
- Sizes are approximate due to each drum being hand carved out of a single log.
- Dununba: ~ 16″ x 24″
- Sangba: ~ 13″ x 22″
- Kenkeni ~ 10″ x 20″
