Discounted Iroko Djembe – 2502057

Discounted shells have minor flaws either in the carvings or stabilized knots or cracks, any such flaws will be shown in the pictures.

This discounted djembe was built in the Ivory Coast, then cleaned up and tuned here in Tennessee.

• The Shell is Iroko {Milicia excelsa} carved in the Ivory Coast.
• These Djembe Shells like the Ivory Coast Dunun are finished with the very distinct, Traditional Ivory Coast Chip Pattern, instead of the sanded smooth texture that look lathe turned.
• While Iroko doesn’t have the density of Lenke or Khadi to reach the highest and sharpest tones, it more than makes up for it by delivering a much better tonal range from the Bass all the way up to the slap. These qualities make it the best choice for accompaniment, when tuned up for top end it can still hold it’s own.
